Squigly Quilting
I’m halfway through quilting my dresser scarf. I’ve quilted the patchwork units and plan to echo the big diamond shapes with more squiggly lines to the edge. I’ve picked yellow for the binding. I hope to finish this project in the next few days to begin using it. I also have a new technique I’m eager to try!
Mini Quilt MOnday – Cat Block
Mini Quilt Mondays are back! A new 6″ block each week is a fun project; keeping it small makes it doable. By the end of the series, I will have enough blocks to make a small quilt.
Secret Agent
I’m playing along in the Modern Quilt Studio Secret Agent Mystery Quiltalong. We are working with fabrics that create the transparency effect and learning about colorwork as we go. New missions arrive every Friday. No pictures. Nothing to see here. 😉
Shout out for Mel Beach!
I bought the VIP pass to QUILT2024, so I have a year to watch the videos. So far, this is the only one I had a chance to watch, Let’s Get Rolling on Your 2024 Quilting Resolutions, with Mel Beach. Mel is a great teacher, and I love her creative use of dice to add variety to your art projects. I’ve followed her progress through three successful 100-day projects on Instagram. She’s awesome! It’s amazing to watch someone work a little every day and gain so much improvement! She has an extensive exhibit and teaching schedule. Learn more at MelBeachQuilts.
Thanks for joining me in my quilty journey!
